LStudio

Flashcards that write themselves.

Type a word you met today. LStudio writes the card — what it means in your own language, how it sounds, and real sentences using it. Then it decides which words you study tomorrow, and which you have earned the right to forget for a month.

Open LStudio Free to try: 50 cards over 7 days. No card needed to start.

Three things, and then it gets out of the way

Type a word

Any word or phrase you have just met — in a book, a film, a conversation. One box, one tap.

Get a whole card

Meaning, pronunciation, two real sentences with translations, near-words and opposites, and the grammar note that says what people get wrong.

Study a few a day

You see a sentence with the word missing. Say it, then check. What you found hard comes back sooner; what you knew comes back in weeks.

What a card looks like

Every field is written for a learner, not copied from a dictionary. The explanation always uses simpler words than the word it explains.

Resilient
/rɪˈzɪliənt/
مقاوم / انعطاف‌پذیر / سرسخت
MeaningAble to recover quickly after something difficult.
ExampleShe stayed resilient after losing her job.
او پس از از دست دادن شغلش مقاوم ماند.
Grammar noteAn adjective. Used of people and of materials — a resilient person, a resilient fabric. Not the same as "stubborn".
B2characteradjective

Which languages

A subscription is for one pair. The card you get depends on both halves: an English word for a Persian speaker carries a Persian meaning; the same word for an English speaker carries a definition instead.

Persian → English Persian → French English → French English → English

What LStudio does not do

It is not a course, and it will not teach you grammar from scratch. It does one job: the words you meet get remembered instead of forgotten. You bring the words.
